Neurosafe
Myself and a group of 4 others set out to create a novel solution to a problem identified by our project mentor, chief resident of neurological surgery at Montefiore, Dr. Mousa Hamad. He noticed the current method of treatment for Intracranial Pressure (ICP) crises required two major surgeries that increased the risk of complications. Our team had to figure out an effective way to address this surgical flow in order to improve patient care.

Device Design
My primary responsibility on the team was to lead the design and development of the device.
- I ran through numerous iterations of the device and with help from my team solved many different issues that popped up
- We developed a novel double-screwing mechanism that allowed for only one major surgery but for continued adjustment as the ICP decreased.
- I utilized my 3D Printer to create multiple scaled up iterations rapidly for our team to be able to handle the device and test it
